Welcome to Charlottesville Day School at ACAC!

We are excited to build a school dedicated to children. We recognize that the most critical and productive learning years are from birth to age ten. We understand that children come to us with different experiences, interests, and strengths. Our mission is to celebrate every child and challenge every learner.

A school is only as strong as its teachers. CDS has an outstanding team of teachers and administrators. We also have an exemplary Board of Educators supporting our teachers and helping guide our educational decisions.

CDS faculty and board members have been chosen for their knowledge, experience, and passion. They are experts in the “best practices” of teaching. Although every faculty member is unique and brings a different perspective to our community, all of our educators share a commitment to educating the whole child. They teach children to love learning.

At CDS, teachers impart their knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to students. Each child is challenged to reach his or her full academic potential. CDS students experience education, rather than being passive bystanders. Their experiences at CDS ignite a lifelong passion for learning.
